GCSE Revision Hub
We have introduced two GCSE Revision Hubs. A safe space for young people to come and revise for their GCSE exams. We know this is an extremely stressful time for young people, so we have created a stress free environment where tutors will be on hand if needed.
We have lots of revision books, test papers and flash cards. We can help to advise on how to revise for your GCSE’s, help to produce a revision timetable and lots more!
Everyone gets to take home a ‘How to revise for your GCSE’s’ guidebook.
The Game Changerz West Yorkshire have kindly provided the use of their laptops and every young person gets to keep a folder and USB stick for their work.
Refreshments also provided.
Here’s how our hubs are positively impacting on young people.
Case Study
Avie – How Team Daniel Armley Hub Transformed One Young Person’s Future.
Avie entered secondary school during COVID‑19 with no transition support. As an AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD) young person, she became increasingly anxious and unable to access mainstream lessons, spending most of her time in the SEND room. By Year 10 she was isolated, overwhelmed, and significantly behind academically, achieving Grade 1s in her mocks and unable to sit English.
In January 2025 she joined the new Team Daniel Armley Hub. The calm, neurodiversity‑affirming environment and consistent support from staff helped her rebuild confidence, regulate anxiety, and re‑engage with learning. Tailored tutoring filled key gaps and made academic progress feel achievable again.
By GCSEs, Avie had transformed—attending regularly, revising effectively, and believing in herself. She achieved Grade 3 in Maths, English and Science, securing a place at her chosen college, something that once felt impossible. She now attends weekly as a Young Leader, supporting others and preparing for her English and Maths resits aiming for a Grade 4.
Team Daniel provided what school couldn’t: a safe, accepting community where Avie could recover, learn and thrive. The hub didn't just help Avie pass her exams, it changed the trajectory of her life.
