On Sunday 7th September, four runners took on the 13.1 miles around the sights of London to raise money for Team Daniel.  Vicki, Layla, Daniel and Alessia braved the hot weather and raised £1213.75 between them.

Here’s why Daniel wanted to take on the challenge for TeamDaniel:

“I just wanted to say that it has been an honour to support your charity. I want to share a couple of details about why I wanted to run for you. Last year, I found out that one of my former hockey teammates had taken his own life. This came as a huge shock to all of us, as he was probably the happiest, friendliest guy on our team - always smiling, happy-go-lucky attitude. It opened my eyes to the fact that even behind the happiest face there can be a lot beneath the surface. My partner also has a very personal connection - she lost her cousin (to whom she was extremely close) when she was 16 and he was just 15. That is all to say that charities like yours are so, so important - keep up your amazing work!”
